Salvage Yard Series Paintings    Gallery 1 (paintings)       Gallery 2 (paintings)      Gallery 3 (studies)      Gallery 4 (studies)
The very first painting I did at the salvage yard was a small oil on gessoed watercolor paper entitled "Consumer Goods". I painted it in the winter of 1997 while sitting in my car. It wasn't until late spring of 1999 that I began to paint at the salvage yard on a regular basis. The oils on gessoed watercolor paper serve two purposes. Some serve as studies for larger paintings, while others worked so well as small paintings that I did not need to do a larger version.    Bronx Draw Bridge, Painted by Valeri Larko
